My favorite fruit toppings are nectarine or peach slices, kiwis, grapes and any berries. Tip: If you're pressed for time, use pre-made sugar cookie dough for the crust. Enjoy this delicious treat!

2 cups flour

1 egg

½ cup butter, softened

1 tsp vanilla

½ tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and sugar, add egg and dry ingredients. Press into a 12" pizza pan and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.

Cream Cheese Layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

¼ cup sugar

Cream together and spread on cooled crust....

This recipe is from my great-grandma (who loved to bake) and offers a delicious twist on a classic apple pie. It's the perfect way to savor fresh fall apples. My favorite varieties for pies are Granny Smith and Golden Delicious; they create a delightful balance of sweetness and tartness.
